Full Moon Monday

Monday there is a beautiful full moon in Virgo and with all that’s going on in the world I want to be the person to say to you, “Everything is going to be okay!!”

You know my work is all about energy, and this full moon is asking us to focus on love. It has proven to be the only thing we can truly trust. Its vibration is one we can count on!

This is completely counter to what we’re being instructed to do by mass media. We’re being told to sequester and separate ourselves from others. All this, at a time when our intuition is pulling us toward connection and the desire to love and be loved.

You may find yourself with inner conflict around choices regarding what you want to do versus what you “think you should” do.

The message here is to follow your heart and have the courage to make your own decisions based on your divine intelligence, not based on fear.

Instead of going out into “the lunacy,” you can connect with loved ones you are closest to and take this opportunity to strengthen those bonds.

Mercury is also stationary in Aquarius on the same day as the full moon, which may show up as feelings of confusion. If you find yourself not knowing the answers or not knowing what to say, it’s okay to express that! It’s perfectly wonderful to say, “I have no idea what I’m trying to say here…” HAHA!

There is beauty in communicating what you are “trying to” express. It’s okay to feel awkward while your conveying feelings, ideas, and opinions.

The key is to communicate from a place of compassion and understanding with a foundation of heart-centered love.

The good news is that Mercury is going direct the same evening as the full moon! Let this potent energy motivate you to release and let go of your fear.

The unknown is your friend. It shows you all the possibilities.

By giving yourself permission to be okay with the unknown you open yourself to allowing for manifestations beyond what you have even imagined.

Here are a couple of ideas for you to try on the Fullmoon and leverage this time of illumination.

  • Tried and true release method of write and release!
    • Write down what you want to let go of: fears, habitual negative thoughts, old patterns or ways of being that you want to change, etc. and then burn the paper imagining all of it floating away into the cosmos.
      • When you compose your letter start with “I release now and forever _____________________…” and end with “… For the highest good of all, and so it is and so it shall be…
        • You can also write whatever feels good to you intuitively. (Intention is the most important aspect of any type of ritual.)
  • Have focused fun! This is especially good if you have kids.
    • Choose a time and space to have a good hour of fun without any technology.
      • The key here is to set the intention of joy in your body while you are having fun.
      • I like to dance around my house and sing release mantras. It’s a very silly energy, and I make up the words as I go. I give myself permission to tap into my own imagination by creating the words on the fly and that in -turn connects me to my intuitive center.
      • Walk in nature, painting, reading a book (one that you can hold and that’s made of paper), dance party, board games, tea party, cooking, baking, improv class, etc.

The biggest lesson for me, and what I am taking away from this time is: the importance of building trust with myself.

When I honor my thoughts, ideas, and actions, I learn to trust my decisions because I know what I can count on, beyond the rhetoric, opinions, and judgments.

Remember you get to choose the relationship you have with what is going on around you.

Take this opportunity to make choices on where you place your focus. Observe the information coming at you and then decide where YOU want to point your attention.
