The New Moon in Cancer is upon us! Tuesday June 28th ushers in another opportunity for us to set our intentions and focus on what we want to create.
The sign of Cancer is all about home and our connection to comfort. There is a belief in our capitalist culture that comfort equals lazy. The notion that if we seek comfort we are not living our best life doesn’t leave room for the value of restorative receiving. Cancer energy says the opposite. The invitation to create comfortable places ignites in us the feelings of belonging, safety, nurturing ….and it’s the opening for receptivity!
This frequency emanating from the cosmos now gives us permission and ignites in us the motivation to focus on home, what we love, and those we love.
Cancer energy connects us to our emotions so take time to acknowledge your feelings right now, even if they feel intense.
Our feelings are our navigation system. When emotions arise, before poopoo-ing them, ask yourself, “what is the feeling wanting to tell me?” Getting in touch with our emotional body gives us the opportunity to know ourselves better.
When we know ourselves we make decisions and set intentions from a deeper level of understanding. We tap into the driving force and passion beneath what we want to create in our lives. Through the intensity of the emotions that aren’t so pleasant we can identify our needs and work toward fulfilling them in a healthy way.
During this new moon ask yourself, “Where in my life can I create comfort and nurturing to foster my personal growth?”
Take time to work on the things that bring you joy. Connect with the people you love and share something authentically, emotionally intimate that will make your bond stronger.
We have this one life and the most important thing we can cultivate is love and connection. I invite you to go deeper than you ever have before and connect to the part that loves.
