How to Stay Aligned with Your Goals Through the Summer of 2022
Tuesday, June 21st marks the longest day of the year for those of us in the northern hemisphere! The sun tracks its longest and highest path through the sky and we celebrate the passage of time marking a change of our seasons.
What a wonderful gift this planet gives us as a marker of growth toward harvest in the fall.
The season of summer is an invitation for us to cultivate the intentions we have set for ourselves. Now is the time to nurture the garden of manifestations that we planted.
We tend to it as we pull the weeds by identifying and releasing old patterns. We water it through focused attention and inspired action and trust the growth process while we stay in the now, knowing the just beneath the surface roots are taking hold and our bounty is on its way.
I have come up with four easy steps to follow to stay on track this summer and I call it the 4 M’s of SUMMMMER!
Meditation, Management, Movement, Mentors
MEDITATION helps us get clear about our intentions. Intention is the first place we go when we want to create or manifest something. By meditating (especially at the beginning and end or our day) on the question – “what is my intention or my mission” we gain deeper understanding, clarity and connection to the vibration of our mission and we can cultivate maintaining focus toward our goals. Meditation is like the soil, it’s the foundation or the beginning of our goal attaining process.
MANAGEMENT: Ask yourself “How am I managing my time?” Through intention setting meditation it is easier to manage our time because we have given ourselves a definitive direction. If you find yourself lacking focus or you are focusing on others, problems, worries, etc.bring yourself back to your original intention or mission. This will enable you to manage your time and energy more efficiently and effectively.
MOVEMENT: Make time in your day to move your body. Whether it’s walking, dancing, yoga or some other type of movement you enjoy, give yourself the gift of movement.
Our bodies store energy! Old traumas, other peoples projections, and external environmental messages can get “trapped’ in the body. When we intentionally move our body we are moving energy through our nervous system. Intentional movement releases the stuff from our body that we don’t want! Think of exercise as literally exercising old vibes out of the body!
Imagine that your movement is like tending to the soil. Removing the weeds frees up energy to be utilized in a thriving environment because you give your body the opportunity to release those survival frequencies of trauma.
MENTORS: When possible, especially during transition periods in your life, make time to meet with a mentor. Mentorships are like the fertilizer and this is what I am here for! Weekly, bi-weekly or even monthly check-ins with a mentor will create the best environment for growth.
I also suggest connecting with local groups of like-minded people where you can share ideas and be supported for your optimal emotional and spiritual growth. Check out meetup or your local social media groups and see what you can find!
