Ebb & Flow

stylefinest.coOne of the biggest challenges I observe in my work is a person’s relationship with allowing as they have a perceived belief that it is stagnation.

There is a time for action and there is a time for allowing. When we aren’t in touch with what the energy of allowing feels like we are tricked by our “monkey mind” into believing that allowing is a stop in momentum. That is when then that we will stop our own progress. By over analyzing the ebb of allowing we stop the momentum and then can’t understand why the law of cause and effect is working in the way we desire.

When we can completely grasp the knowing that flow of action and ebb of allowing are equally important aspects of the manifestation process when we are consciously creating with the law of cause and effect. In the allowing is where we are open to the receiving of our truest desires.

Without the ebb there is no flow.

Here are a few easy ways to get more comfortable with allowing:

Meditation – if you enjoy meditation, just a few minutes of mindful meditation will bring you into the state of allowing. Do not try to meditate if you have tried it before and you don’t like it. It’s okay – there’s more than one way to find inner peace!

Yoga – Again, if you enjoy yoga it is a powerful way to ground into your body.

Dance – This is one of my favorite ways to give myself permission to allow. I find I am able to get lost in music – that is what I identify as the feeling of allowing.

Read – It’s okay to get lost in a story for a while. This gives us an opportunity to focus on something that we enjoy so we give our mind an opportunity to drop the resistance of overthinking.

Nap – Sleeping for a short time will give you the opportunity to reset your nervous system. Relaxation is another way I am able to find that sense of ease and then I know I’m allowing.

Play with kids and/or animals – Children and animals always bring us into the moment because they are always in that space. Taking time to play keeps us in the now.

Laugh a lot – Laughter raises our vibration and when we are having fun we don’t have room to overthink things or be in resistance.
