MOMENTOUS LEO MOON

I continue to be fascinated by the energetic pull of the moon and how it affects the cycles of our planet, our moods, and our personal & collective momentum.

Isn’t it curious that we talk about every full moon as if it’s some mysterious anomaly and yet they happen 12 or 13 times a year?

It is undeniable that the moon affects our energy showing up as our mood-altering, over-reactionary and impulsive partner in crime. Because it’s a force that we can always count on, instead of being a “victim” of it, why not harness it?

This particular full moon on January 28th is in the sign of LEO. It’s bold, it’s bright and it commands our attention.

When we think of Leo, we mostly think about BIG EGO. The dashing out-picturing of this sign will show up as a loud-mouthed personality with the desire to be adored. When not tamed this sign has an innate capacity to be abrasive and demanding.

The more shadowy side of Leo is actually sensitive. Leo invites us to be loyal: loyal to our own emotions, our intuition and our inner-strength. Full of heart, the Leo moon beckens a deeper sense of compassion for numero uno.

Don’t get it twisted though! This fiery energy won’t put up with excuses disguised as caring, or laziness cloaked as ease. It requires that you take a candid look at the places where you may show up in cowardly ways, and demands that you take a chance on yourself.

Have you been waiting (and waiting…) for a sign to leave a toxic relationship, job or situation that you know in your heart is no longer serving you? Has the change been long-overdue? Can you step into the courage that this luminous Leo moon offers?

The prowess it takes to leave behind the baggage that drags you down can be mustered at this time so don’t delay, especially if you have known in your heart the right action to take.

Use this big moon energy to face your personal truth. Then allow yourself to relinquish the illusionary fear of losing something that never was so you can become what you were always meant to be.
